Your Taxes Can Build a Home for a Family in our Community
Dear Friend,
Since our founding in 1989, Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity has been building hope by building houses with working, low-income families in the Quad-City area.
We’ve recently dedicated our 53rd house and will be completing another 3 before the end of the year. We build six to eight houses each year with qualifying families and offer them interest-free 30 year mortgages. Our goal is to continue to build simple decent homes. Your year-end tax credit contributions can assist with this goal!
Thanks to an Arizona tax law, taxpayers can get a dollar-for-dollar charitable tax credit… up to $200 for an individual or $400 for a married couple filing jointly… on their Arizona income tax return for charitable contributions. These contributions must be made to a qualifying charitable organization, and Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity is such an organization. Click HERE or on the DONATE button below to contribute.
Here are the recently revised guidelines for this tax credit:
-You must itemize deductions on your 2009 Arizona income tax return;
-Your contribution must be made by December 31 of the same tax year for which credit is claimed.
Please join the circle of friends who donate to Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity, with a tax credit donation, as part of your charitable giving plan for 2009. Just return your check earmarked, “Tax Credit.” We appreciate your partnering with us and the families we serve.
Sincerely,
